Bounce

Today is Easter Sunday and it has been a great day so far. The kids woke up to three baskets each, one of the cheap Walmart ones for each, and then two hand filled baskets with all kinds of goodies. I went light on the candy and heavy on the little toys so that we don’t have meltdowns later on. The kids also had to find eggs hidden all over the house, filled with little treats. Paige got a cell phone, a Barbie, and some stuffed animals. Payton a pair of silver cap guns with a holster, and some play dinosaurs. Parker got some new clothes, LOL.

The big surprise though was the bounce house the Easter Bunny left for them. They were ecstatic.

Jester Baby Legs

Here is a picture of Parker in his Jester Babylegs. It was nice enough today to take him outside in this outfit.

Egg Wreath

Here is a picture of the egg wreath that Payton and I made. We just took a fake wreath that we bought at a discount after Christmas and we used thread to wrap around the branches and closed the eggs over the thread. After we trimmed the thread it made a gorgeous looking wreath! It is about 5 feet wide! I would say we have about $10.00 in it and it is a beautiful and unique creation. It was also a lot of fun to make and my 5 year old enjoyed making it too and it kept him occupied for quite awhile and that is no easy feat.

Parker in his BabyLegs

I LOVE BabyLegs!!! They are the most adorable baby leg warmers and I have been dressing Parker in them constantly. I think I may have Paige were some on an egg hunt tomorrow so soon I will be hooked on them for her too.

The New House

Did I show you the new house we bought in town. It is a really great Victorian house with lots of room. 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a full basement, hardwood floors throughout, three nice fireplaces, a porch on either side, and a huge backyard. It is right smack in the middle of historic downtown Marion, so I am within walking distance of the Palace, the downtown eateries and stores, and President Harding’s house is a block or so away.

What I love most about it is the woodwork. The woodwork is to die for and the hardware on the doors and such is all original. The basement has a brick floor and the walls are stone so it looks like a wine celler and is amazingly enough, a dry basement.

Since the house is in the historic disctrict the city will reimburse you for renovations that bring the house back to its original condition. I am really excited to begin restoring the house to something absolutley spectacular!

Spring Fun

The weather is starting to really warm up most days so the kids and I have begun enjoying the outdoors again. Just yesterday I took all three of them outside to play softball. Well, Parker sat in his sister’s mushroom chair. Payton is getting really good and can hit the ball pretty far. I need to get him enrolled in a team.

Paige just adores playing in the flower beds and getting dirty. Today I bought them a sandbox and a bunch of sand toys so that the flower beds can be saved for the 3-4 varieties of beans I have growing indoors waiting for their transplant. I have also started sweet corn, tomatoes, lettuce, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and lots of others. The bare root roses are growing like crazy! Everyday we check on them in excitement. I am still not sure how many will be planted at the farmhouse and how many will be planted at the house in town.

After planting, my first consideration for the house in town will be painting the porch and getting some really nice patio furniture so I can enjoy these beautiful spring days.

Summer Items Added to Jelly Bean Diapers

I have added more stuff to the store! Since summer is fast approaching I added swim diapers, swim trunks, and Frubi baby shades. The swim diapers are already a hot seller!

In addition to those products I also added Snappi nail clippers, glad rags mama pads, and Keeper menstrual cups.
