The Fluff is Still Arrrving

I guess I have hit some sort of mental deadline for newborn readiness. I am buying new cloth diapers like crazy in preparation. This week I received two Muttaqins and three newborn HoneyBoys from Simply Good Diapers. They are all just beautiful!

I also ordered a dozen small Kissaluvs and some doublers from Thanks Mama and some small Happy Heniy Sherpa fitteds and covers from Baby Cotton Bottoms. I also ordered a small sushi print cover from The Threaded Branch.

I am still looking too! :)
Now I MUST really work on other items besides diapers!

Diaper Fabric

I am starting to get away from group co-ops and place my orders directly with the textile companies that manufacture the fabric for my diapers. It is cheaper this way and my needs are greater now. Yesterday a huge 8 foot bolt of sherpa arrived via UPS. The kids have had so much fun getting on top of it and rolling it around :)
My mother said that it looks like it is time to get a factory! Well, not quite yet but a bigger space definately. I am having a hard time keeping up with things when I get orders for 40-50 diapers in a weeks time :) This week I am drowning in all the work I have to do. BUT I am still Zen and I love what I do :)

New Web Site

Did I forget to mention that I opened another Web site? I think I have been soooo busy running three sites and preparing for at least 2-3 more that I forgot to announce it here. I have opened a Natural Family Living Resource, called Nature Moms. The site was a labor of love that I worked on now and and again for about 6 months. Of course I envisioned the site way before that and registered the domain sometime in early 2004. I have recieved so many nice emails from moms saying that they love the site and that makes me feel very good.

All in all, business is doing excellent! All my sites are growing by leaps and bounds and making some nice profits. I am excited about some future plans too, so I still have plenty of work to do.

You May Already Be There

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented
the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took
him to catch them.

“Not very long,” answered the Mexican.

“But then, why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more?” asked the
American.

The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs
and those of his family.

The American asked, “But what do you do with the rest of your time?”

“I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with
my wife. In the evenings, I go into the village to see my friends, have a
few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs . I have a full life.”

The American interrupted, “I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you!
You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra
fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat.”

And after that?” asked the Mexican.

With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one
and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate
directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You
can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or
even New York City! From there you can direct your huge new enterprise.”

“How long would that take?” asked the Mexican.

“Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years,” replied the American.

“And after that?”

“Afterwards? Well my Friend, That’s when it gets really interesting,”
answered the American, laughing. “When your business gets really big, you
can start selling stocks and make millions!”

“Millions? Really? And after that?” said the Mexican.

“After that you’ll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast,
sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with
your wife and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends.”

And the moral is: Know where you’re going in life… you may already be
there.

Don’t ya just LOVE that! Zen-Mother

Down on the Farm

We have a pretty nice farm routine going on now. We sleep in every morning :) and then we get dressed…take out the garbage and burn it…feed the barn kitties any leftover meat or dairy from the previous night’s dinner…feed CeeCee the horse her morning oats and let her out to pasture….and then spend a while enjoying the morning outside. Oh, and the two dogs run around under foot during all this…taking their morning bathroom break.

Then we go back inside for breakfast which is usually either farm fresh eggs and bacon or plain old cereal. The kids and I converse about everything we are going to do that day as well.

Yes…it is a lovely routine. I wonder how this will change in the winter :)

The Fluff is Arriving

All that delicious fluff that I have been mentioning started arriving today. I got the Very Baby diapers from Monkey Toe Diapers again. And again I am super pleased! They are soooo adorable and I am really liking the Very Nights diaper I got for Paige too. Plus the package came with freebies, including bath salts and a hemp terry bib.

I also got the newborn hat and longies set for the new baby. It came with a really cute pair of wool shoes….and they were a freebie! Pretty soon I will take a picture of my newborn stash for you all to see.

Wool Longies

Since our newest arrival will be arriving in the dead of winter and it will not be 60 degrees, like in Phoenix, I have decided to give wool longies and soakers a try. Soooo….this week I ordered my first two pairs of wool longies.

First I ordered a custom pair of longies from Lotus Knits in a pumpkin colorway. Then I ordered and in-stock pair from Cuddle Me in a gorgeous peppermint stripe.

I also got motivated to add some more newborn fluff to the stash too :)
So I am now waiting on 2 Muttaqin fitteds, 2 Very Baby fitteds, and 1 VB Nights.
