I got several diapers in the mail today. I received a large Swaddlebees pocket diaper in Sage. It is pretty nice and trim and it is really too bad that it is a giveaway for the contest at the Jungle for August. I also got my Monkey Toe Diapers, the Very baby fitteds I ordered. They are awesome!!! I absolutley LOVE them. One is a knit with little paw prints and a sherpa inner and one is a flannel with monkey faces on it, with a natural birdseye inner. Both have doublers and I got a couple freebies in the bag. Come to think of it almost every diaper purchase I have made recently has had a free cloth wipey. I don’t even use cloth wipes but they certainly are nice. Wonder what I am going to do with them.

Wow! I actually got to work on some diaper embroidery today. I have made some cute giraffes, a mermaid, and a dolphin. It is awesome to to press a button and walk away from the machine as it is stitching and watching TV while it is doing its work. It feels like I have some employee working for me late at night when I hear the machine going, LOL. Right now as I am typing it is doing a flying pig, so very sute. I guess I have been doing all girl stuff though….I need to make some dump trucks or trains or something

LOL. I have spent all morning watching court shows on TV, divorce court, Texas Justice, etc. I LOVE court TV, especially The People’s Court and Judge Judy. I guess because the law is a family affair with my family that is why I love it. Judge Judy also reminds me of my mom, hehe.

I am waiting impateiently for The Bold and the Beautiful to start. I watch soaps occasionally unitl a storyline totally p*sses me off and I have to stop watching it, but lately I can’t wait to see Stephanie Forrester get hers! I also want to see Craig of As the World Turns get the electric chair! Well, that isn’t happening on the show, but if I were a show writer…

My hubby just called with bad news. Two of our houses have storm damage, due to the monsoons that have hit us every night. So, I have to get check it out today and make a homeowners claim and if you have read my previous posts you know how much I love dealing with those guys. BUT hubby is home today, surprise, surprise. So I won’t have to take care of things myself.

When he comes home I think I will take a loooooong nap.

I have been on a mission! I have sewn 16 diapers in the past two days. Only two of those were orders, so that means I have 14 in-stock diapers now, yeah!! I had forgotten how much I love sewing diapers that are not yet sold. It is a whole other ball of wax to have to sew diapers that are already bought and paid for. It feels like real work then I guess. But it is really fun to pick the diapers I want to make. So……I have madecloth diapers in neon orange, Bob the Builder, Harry Potter, SpongeBob, Ice Cream PRR, chiness food flannel, rainbow flames, and two diapers in a beautiful sushi print, yummy! The inners are a mixture of microfleece, suedecloth, and sherpa in all sorts of different colors. They are so gorgeous I have not had the heart to put them in my store yet

I am on a roll here. I just bought two newborn fitted diapers from Monkey Toe Diapers. These are Very baby fitteds so I am excited to try them and I found this store through the directory at The Diaper Jungle.

I also bought some used fitteds through Ebay, Babykins. I have never tried them but they look very simple, and I love simple fitteds and covers for little babies. I am still searching for my favorite fitteds for newborns, Chummies. They are very ellusive I guess If only I had known I would be giving birth again so soon, I would have never sold all of mine.

I am thrilled this week since the site I re-designed in June is already at a PR 4 with hundreds of backlinks. My search engine traffic has tripled! I am in the top 10 for all of my targeted keyword phrases and number 1 for several of them. And my affiliate revenue is climbing steadily. I am making pretty good money from Google alone. Plus the overall buzz is that the site rocks! Yup, this marketing guru still has it.

My diaper biz is also skyrocketing. I have had several weeks where I bring in 10-20 orders. I have even had to close customs once or twice. I have some trade shows and contests planned for upcoming months. Woohoo! Right now I am working on perfecting my diaper cover patterns and dabbling with some new materials such as organics. I am also looking forward to having some time to work on embroidered diapers.

Ah….my great love….cloth diapers. I have been remiss in not talking about all things cloth. My recent purchases include a newborn diaper in neon green with a yellow Sherpa inner from Precious Coverings. It is adorable indeed.

I also bought a Texas Two Step AI2 from Texas Blue Bonnet Dipes. The craftsmanship on this diaper is amazing. I also love the print. While it is very cute is not my favorite because it does leak and it is very bulky but Paige is just a little thing so she gets kinda lost in it.

I got a special diaper from Melissa of Posh Punkins, a bikini cut Cuddlebuns in a great ice cream print. I LOVE this diaper and so does Paige.

Right now I am on the lookout for more great newborn diapers….know where I can get some??

While on vacation in May I discovered (much to my surprise) that I am expecting a baby. I was only about 2 weeks pregnant when I found out. I was/am pretty shocked because my daughter Paige is only 16 months old and I thought that “if” I had another child there would be a few years between. LOL. I guess life had other plans. The new baby is due in late January. While I am happy about this news I am also slightly terrified and trying very much to remain zen-like about the whole thing. Of course I know that everything will work out exceedingly well in the end….it always does

Yes, I am back and hopefully back to blogging regularly. My loooong abcense started when I went out of town on vacation in May. I had some news that rocked me while I was there (see my next post) and I have been feeling a little under the weather and needed to rest up. But I am back in action now. I am ready to put more energy into my businesses, which are soaring with success. And I am trying to get a new house to accomodate my growing businesses and growing family. I guess I just needed to rest and re-group.
